For those of us still on UDP's with AT&T, how's it been going with the new non hard throttling policy?

For me I've gotten text messages when I'm close to 5GB but the text messages don't say that I will be throttled but may be throttled. So far it doesn't seem like I've been throttled. It's possible that my speeds are being reduced but not even close to the old hard throttle speeds.

I get a text message a few days after my billing cycle, but I haven't experinced any throttling. Average monthly usage is between 30 and 40gigs since they changed their throttling policy.

Im around 7gb so far with 12 days left on the billing cycle and just did a speed test!

I got a text when I hit 3.75GB that was a soft warning but nothing happened, and I ended up using 5.5GB that month. I normally use between 4.5GB and 5.5GB per month on average.

Planning on upgrading to a 6S Plus next month but ONLY if AT&T lets me keep my plan as is. Hopefully doing so won't be an issue.

As son as I hit 5gb I get throttled. Email won't even pull up. Usually the last week of my billing cycle is when I hit the brick wall.

Just started my new billing cycle, and I already got my 3.75 gb text... LOL. The sooner the better. Now I can enjoy my unlimited data the rest of the month text free.:p

I generally use between 7 and 12 GB per month and haven't seen reduced speeds in a looooong time.

With the way smartphone plans are being priced nowadays I consider myself extremely lucky to be in the group that managed to hang onto it. The day they tell me I can't keep it (which should be never) is the day I stop using smartphones.

Shouldn't be happening. Try a hard reset.

Going great. Haven't seen throttling in months. The biggest reason for my spike is usage is Spotify. I used to make everything available off-line, but I don't anymore.

That might be it.
Try going a little further away and testing it connected to a different cell tower.

Good idea.

Even if he's on a congested tower, he shouldn't get the old hard throttled speeds though? Speeds will be reduced but I'm pretty sure not to the old hard throttled speeds of .50 Mbps down.

When I get close to my billing date I'll try going further away. I work 25 miles from home, and when the throttling kicks in I'm throttled at home (away from my wifi), on my commute, and at work. I'll take a road trip in a different direction and see if I reach a boundary and get faster speeds.

Are you hard throttled at .50Mbps or are you speeds reduced?

Speed test will not run, it times out. Email pulls in a few headers, then times out also. I usually just keep it in my pocket in case someone calls. I only run wifi at home, so the phone gets to be useless when I hit 5 gig.

That's weird. You must be connected to a real congested cell site.
You live in a major US city?
Even when I was throttled email worked fine and speedtest worked and showed speeds of 0.5mbps
Videos still loaded with YouTube etc...
Something doesn't seem right with your claims.
