77GB so far in one day. On the mifi liberate plan says 9999gb i will see if they really offer 1TB or if goes beyond 1TB.

It's really almost a 10 TB plan
9999gb equals roughly 9.9 TB. So, to answer your question, you should easily be allowed to use over/go beyond 1 TB if you want to. If you want to be "technical", it's really a 9.9 TB a month plan. You would need to almost use 300 GB a DAY 😱 in order to achieve full usage of the plan of 9 TB.
Yeah i figured it out after i posted that lol. Really hard to download 10tb in a month when all i'm getting is like 10mbit/s.
Does the liberate support LTE carrier aggregation? I'm getting really bad speeds from my liberate, 0.68 Mbps. I know the Unite supports it, but what about the unite pro? This is abornormal for my area (Chicago) from what I'm reading. I live in a congested area downtown but from the July study I read I should be at least getting 2 Mbps. I get 68 Mbps from my phone on Verizon.

I get the same speeds from the liberate and the unite pro. Att and tmobile deliver about same speed in houston texas and my verizon hotspot usually is twice as fast.
Yeah but does the liberate support carrier aggregation, AT&T implementated it May of last year so I just want to know if the device is giving accurate speeds. Had I known I wouldn't have purchased it.
I don't think the Unit Pro does this right? I have the Unite Pro and don't get the best speeds IMO. It helps to keep it at the 5ghz band though.

Hey guys, I finally bought one of these plans and am hoping to use it in a ATT Unite Pro that I've also purchased. My question is: Do I have to login to the account when I take it over from an iPad? I don't currently have an iPad, and I don't want to buy one just to activate it and then take the sim card out and put it in my hotspot forever. Can I login and set up the new billing from say my laptop and still be fine? Will I still be able to set up recurring payments etc. from logging into the ipadlanding website from something other than in iPad? The SIM card I'll be getting in the mail is already activated from the previous owner. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm scared to do anything wrong and lose the money I just invested into buying this plan before I even get to use it.

Thanks for the clarification TrueFan31! Now I can't wait to get my SIM in the mail, and enjoy the benefits of not caring how much data I use up on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 when traveling.

Enjoy! It's worth it. Mines on a rmini jb with tetherme and mywi so it gets used a lot. It's that freedom that is great. I've personally done over 100 gigs before but some here have done hundreds no issues.
Now THAT Really Sucks!
After reding this thread, post after post, of those of you guys that have these plans for whatever they cost you up front are definitely making me jealous!
Man, if I had the funds and income for it, I'd pay whatever I had to for it! We could likely drop our Cable Internet (dump $80 or more, plus tax and fees) and go with a MiFi setup with one of those plans! It sucks to here about something like that, that will definitely pay for itself many times over, and not having the front money to invest and save for the longer term! 🙁
My iPad 4 (a gift from my parents) goes with me every where I go! It's like a part of me, because I literally use it all the time...even when not connected. If I could be connected ALL the time without worrying going over my "limits," I would be Beyond Thrilled! I have got to find some extra scratch and join the fun!

I decided to see just how long it might take to pay for itself by shutting down services we currently pay for, yet would no longer need if I had just 1 of these plans at the initial cost that was mentioned a little more recently. Less than 1 Year! Ummm...Yeah! Totally worth the investment, as long as I never had to worry about AT&T deciding on a Whim that they would just pull the plug on the plan or the "No Throttle" policy.
So, after my post above (before the edit), I went looking on eBay out of curiosity. I see these plans are now selling for $2,299. Inflation is brutal. LOL - BUT...I also saw that I could possibly sell my personal phone number that is to my iPhone and has Unlimited Data (Grandfathered, but can be throttled) for $999, it the ad I saw is true. That almost levels the playing field right back down to where you guys were talking about. Now...what else could I sell? Hmmmmm...

It's nice reading others who've realized how valuable these plans are. Really it's how true unlimited plans should be. Some think it's crazy to pay that much for the plan but real data users who don't wanna worry know its worth.

I'm just wondering what the chances might be of discovering someone with one a bit cheaper and not on eBay. It might give me a better shot. I worked for AT&T back in 2001/2002 (the last part of a Decade in the Wireless Industry until Total Burnout sent me looking for something new and better) and now I'm wondering if I might know anyone left that works there. I would bet that there has to be a way to find a report of any plans left from that plan that aren't being used much. Offer someone a few hundred for it and come out way, way ahead! 😎

I've been following this thread for several months, and registered today just to post. I've had this plan since day one, and I rarely use it. I'm torn between selling it, or buying a unite pro to use it with all my devices. The market price is pushing me towards selling. But selling could be risky - eBay is really bad about siding with the buyer in any dispute. I'm afraid if I sell my plan, the buyer could get my account info, switch to his name, and then tell ebay he didn't get it, something was wrong etc, and I'd have to refund the money and I'd lose my account. For those who have sold on eBay: How do you protect yourself from this type of fraud?

That's like asking how to protect yourself from getting wet when it rains.
I love eBay, but it's a home to scams and scammers, both sellers and buyers, and my general rule of thumb is deal local (Craigslist) if you're going to do that type of deal. It's not worth the issues when something goes wrong. eBay doesn't care who they screw as long as eBay gets paid.

I have to respectfully disagree with you guys saying Ebay is full of scammers. I've both sold and bought on Ebay, probably at least 18,000 worth purchased since I started my account. I've probably sold at least 7,000 worth of stuff as well...
When it comes to protecting yourself, it's easy. You need to only sell it to someone with a verified Paypal address. Also, ensure that you select signature required on delivery. Then, there is proof that the person received your product.
I would say tell the person that you will ship them the SIM card, and then when they receive it and leave you Feedback on Ebay, you will immediately send them the password to the account. The only possibility of you getting screwed besides that, is if FedEx or USPS loses your package. This is not common but can rarely happen around holidays.(This has happened to me once)
The good thing about this particular type of sale, is that with this product, if it gets lost, who cares, because you can just refund the buyer, and go to ATT and ask for a new SIM card to be made. Then you still control the account, and can get a new SIM card at the low price of $10-15.
Ebay tries to protect the Buyer usually, but PayPal, although they are owned by Ebay, does side with the seller almost always, as long as you can PROVE you shipped the item(tracking slip), to the proper address and the customer received it(Sign on Delivery), then PayPal will make sure you get the money you are owed.
I don't mean to make fun of anyone, but the scams that exist on the internet are as easy to avoid as getting viruses from sketchy websites, or buying a used car that's obviously not worth the money, call Ebay or PayPal and talk with them about your concerns and they will let you know all the options that are available to you to ensure you are protected as both a buyer and a seller. They are a company like any other, that wants repeat business.
I'm not saying that you need to trust everyone on the internet, skepticism is great, but just deal with honest people/companies and you will be fine.

Edit: One more thing. Ensure that you have a VERY thorough description on your Ebay listing, and that it states that you will not be responsible for their inability to update the account information and lose the account etc. Be Specific!!! I'm super confused. So, which hotspot should I get? I dont care about how many devices I can connect. I just want to get whatever has the fastest data speeds nation wide? Are there hotspots that roam onto other networks for faster speeds?
