netshare

i disagree that att would do anything if you got caught tethering with netshare.. Considering you did in fact buy it off the apple store, legally.. Yes, even though the contract states this and that blah blah blah.. I strongly believe that if you went over the 5gb allowance.. which is a lot even if you are tethering.. I think explaining that you bought netshare from the APP STORE might just get u off the hook.. i dont even know why im saying this, because if you are going over the 5gbs you are obviously using it instead of an internet line. So no, i dont think its unfair.

No one without tethering will ever reach 5GB in a month. Unless you are trying to beat your past month's data consumption record or something of that sort.

That aside, anyone who does consume 5GB of data in a month only thru the iPhone, has one of the following:

a. Too much free time
b. Uses YouTube as a TV
c. E-mails more than 15 people a day with at least 5 emails per person.
d. Doesn't have a laptop and uses the iPhone as primary Internet source.
e. All of above.

My MacBook Pro is in for repair so I'm using my iPhone to watch 200MB/hour video podcasts that would normally download through iTunes.

I used 1GB+ in a single day. I'll probably easily go over the 5GB cap this month.

200MB/hour of video podcasts? How much free time do you have?

You watch five hours of video podcasts a day? I'd say you're MUCH different than even a high-average user.

You realize I don't have to actively be staring at the screen to watch, right? It's really just leaving it at the desk listening while working on stuff. The podcasts are mostly all news based. (Meet the Press, Olbermann, Maddow, etc.)

yep

Of course.

This is really a dumb argument. My bad for nitpicking.
