Does anyone understand how HBO Max works into the new AT&T Unlimited Your Way plans?
The old Unlimited Elite covered all lines and included HBO Max but the HBO Max was simply added onto our AT&T TV account as a credit.
Any phone (or streaming device) could access HBO Max by logging into the app using the AT&T TV account credentials.
The new 'Your Way' plans let you customize per line so you can choose which lines get HBO Max and which lines don't so does that mean you only get access to HBO on each specific phone line now? Is the TV account access gone if you go the Your Way route?

So long as you have at least ONE line on the unlimited elite w/ the your way plans, you will maintain HBO max w/ up to 3 concurrent streams using your same login information that you'd use to access the MyAT&T website.

I had a question about the new Unlimited Your Way, if you just did the Elite for everyone, do they still share the 100GBs, or does each line get 100GBs, kinda like on the Elite each line has a 30GB hotspot? I have been considering changing to that, it looks like it'd be the same price monthly for my account for my 7 lines(3 iPhones, 3 iPads, and 1 Apple Watch) as what I pay for the Elite now.

Also yeah, just sign into the HBO Max app with your ATT login, just choose provider, then ATT, and sign in, at first I had an issue where it wouldn't authorize me, but like 2 weeks later it got fixed by ATT, now works perfectly.

So then dropping the Elite from the other lines doesn’t really lose HBO max at all. The only real loss is the personal hotspot data.

I think they just lose like hotspot, and ability to stream in HD without the Elite.

I just switched to the Elite plan for my family plan. I asked my customer support specialist this question and she told me it's 100 gigs PER line. I average 9 gigs of data use per month, so I don't think I'll be hitting this 100 gig cap (it's not even a real cap as AT&T can possibly slow your speeds after). We used to have the Unlimited Plus or some other plan. With this new Elite plan for 5 lines and a watch, we're saving ~$30. Also, there's $10 discount for EACH line if you opt for paperless bills/auto pay.

Is the discount just on phone lines? Or also on Watches and Tablets? The plan I'm on I get $40 in discounts, $10 for each phone(3), and $10 off the plan.

Never Mind went through the process to see, it's only off the phone lines it appears, I wonder if I'd lose my discount for DIRECTV that I have right now, not sure if I'm supposed to even have it, I had the previous Unlimited Data plan that was like 22GB shared, and 15GB hotspot per device.

If you're on Elite and you still have the $15 or $25 DirecTV Now discount, consider yourself very lucky.

Visible is only $25/month tax included with unlimited hotspot. Super cheap.

Hotspot data and threshold of usage before being at risk of slowdown during network congestion in high pop areas and video streaming quality.

Thanks for the reminder...I keep forgetting I have HBO Max (also with ATT)

I checked my DTV bill, and it says Unlimited Plus, which was what I had before Unlimited Elite. I guess they never checked to see what plan i'm on, maybe eventually they'll figure it out, like when I had Verizon DSL as my ISP, I used to get like $8 off a month, and even when I switched I still had it, till a couple of years ago it fell off.

Yup, that's the plan I had before I switched to Elite. My discount went with it, but I was expecting that. Don't make any changes to your DTV account and ride the discount wave for as long as possible!

My current DIRECTV bill is only $94.80 a month after some massive credits, $70 for 12 months, $17 off Starz and Sports every 6 months, and the $15 from ATT. It'll change once NBA and NHL come back on, I was quite surprised that ATT gave me NFL Sunday Ticket MAX free for 2020, got that email back in April before the 2020 NFL Draft.

Anyway, is there any benefit to switching the current shared plan to the Your Way plans? I'm curious about iPad's, like you have 1 option, $20 a month, but what is the GB limit before they may slow it down, doesn't say, I'm also iffy on whether or not you really get 100GBs per line. May have to call them.
