I was late to the game in ordering a 6+, and still have a few weeks of waiting in front of me. I used an upgrade on my account to order one from Apple.com, and am now finding that if I keep an eye out I can find one locally... But I'm told (by an Apple.com employee I talked to) that canceling my online order will not immediately reset my upgrade eligibility, and he couldn't say for sure how long that would take.

Anyone have any experience with this? How long after canceling one order does it take to reset in AT&T's system, so I can buy elsewhere at the upgrade price? Trying to decide if it's worth the risk to cancel my online order, hopefully have the upgrade re-instated on my account quickly, and then find one locally to buy, all before my on-order one would supposedly get here in a few weeks time.

Sorry if this has been covered... But searching "upgrade" on this forum gave me a flood of posts talking about other kinds of upgrades. :|

Thanks!

Best case, it resets within an hour, many people have had to wait 24 hours, and some poor souls ran into issues and it took significantly longer. YMMV but if you are cancelling an order, I'd not worry about it. The odds are in your favor that it will get reset quickly.

Thanks for the input, guys. I didn't know calling AT&T would have any affect on that - I guess I'll do that, then. :)

When I canceled my order with AT&T my upgrade was reset within 5 minutes. No issues with waiting at all like I see some people on here having.
