You will likely get something late tonight and will still arrive tomorrow.
It almost seems like those that got in early are getting screwed. Like the system won't take them early and maybe shoved them all in the system after the official start time or something. You're not the first I've seen say they ordered early and seem to have nothing. I do know that the 1TB are in highest demand though.

I ordered my 13 pro max last Friday 17 @ 7:30 am central time and it shows to ship 9/24-10/1. So I will not be getting mine tomorrow which sucks! I called AT&T to ask why, but nothing intelligent was said. The website says “great news, we are getting ready to ship your order”. Whatever!!!

Forgot to say I had delivery dates of between Sept 27th through Oct 4th, so ship by Sept 24th through Oct 1st.
I think the 1TB model was definitely the most in demand, or limited stock, as every color PM 1TB was Sept 27th-Oct 4th delivery when I got in early, I didn't end up officially ordering the one coming tomorrow till 8:38 AM ish, seems like hit or miss, heck I stupidly waited for Apple.com and the Apple App to get in, had Graphite PM 1TB in bag, sept 24th delivery, minute after doing number, SSN, PIN for ATT, went to Oct 6th-Oct 14th I think, then went back to ATT, Graphite fell back to Oct 4th-Oct 10th, went with that, then checked for the heck of it the Silver, had the Sept 27th-Oct 1st delivery.
Yeah the delivery dates were when I ordered it, then the order status said Sept 24th-Oct 1st ship dates, don't think I ever saw the delivery date unless it was in my email and I missed it.
I only see ship dates as well. JCUJ85, what time did you place your order on the 17th?
Yeah those were my ship dates, I thought it would ship tomorrow, at best, come Monday, never saw this, hope everyone gets their's tomorrow.

We're getting ready to ship your order means that it's preparing to ship. I had tracking info after a few hours of that.
Same, and I hope that when I wake tomorrow it will say on-truck for delivery.
