The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are now up for pre-order on Apple.com, and with the debut of new smartphones from Apple, all of the major carriers have also kicked off their own special offers for the devices. Below we've taken a look at the major iPhone XS-related deals from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, so read on to see how you can save some money if you haven't yet purchased one of the latest iPhones.

AT&T

If you buy the iPhone XS with AT&T, you'll get another XS for $700 off if both are purchased on AT&T Next. The limited time offer requires a new line to be added onto a Next plan, and the $700 promotion will be applied over 30 months.

If you would prefer the second device in the BOGO deal to be an iPhone 8, you can also get the 64GB iPhone 8 ($599.99) or the 64GB iPhone 8 Plus ($699.99) for free.

AT&T notes that you can also receive the $700 as a credit towards a more expensive iPhone, including a 256GB iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, or iPhone XS Max (priced up to $1,450). In these cases the second iPhone will be discounted but not completely free.

Head to AT&T for more details.

Verizon

Verizon essentially has the same offer as AT&T, allowing you to mix-and-match a BOGO deal where you can buy the iPhone XS, XS Max, X, 8, or 8 Plus, add a new line to one of the phones, and save $700 on the second. In Verizon's offer, the credit of $29.16 will be added to your monthly bill for the next 24 months.

This means that you'll pay full price for the two iPhones over 24 months, but then in one to two billing cycles you'll begin to see a credit of $29.16 added to your account. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus in the deal are for the 256GB model, but if you opt for the 64GB option the credit placed on your account will be $24.99 per month.

Alternatively, Verizon's second offer lets you save $100 with select trade-ins. When purchasing an iPhone XS, XS Max, X, 8, or 8 Plus with a select trade-in (that's in good working and cosmetic condition), you'll receive $100 over 24 months as a monthly credit. Verizon will send a prepaid package to mail the trade-in within 30 days at no cost.

The carrier notes that if your trade-in is valued at higher than $100 then you'll get the full value as an account credit, or new customers can get the full value as a virtual gift card sent two weeks after it receives your device.

Devices eligible for trade-in include: iPhone X, 8 Plus, 8, 7 Plus, 7, 6s Plus, 6s, 6 plus, 6, 5s and SE. Non-Apple devices include: Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel and Pixel XL; LG V30, V20, V10, G6, G5 and G4; Motorola Z2 Force, Z Force, Z2 Play, Z Play, Z Droid, Z Play and Turbo 2; Samsung GS9, GS9+, GS8, GS8+, GS7, 7 Edge, 7 Active, GS6, 6 Edge, 6 Edge+, 6 Active, GS5, GS4, Note 8, Note 5, Note 4 and Note Edge; HTC 10 and M9/M9+.

Head to Verizon for more details.

T-Mobile

At T-Mobile, if you buy an iPhone XS, XS Max, X, 8, or 8 Plus, you can save up to $300 through bill credits that expand over 24 months with an eligible iPhone trade-in. The new device must be purchased on one of T-Mobile's monthly payment plans, and the trade-ins are required to be in good condition, with values designated below:
If you meet all of these criteria, T-Mobile will add a credit of up to $12.50 on your monthly bill for 24 months, after one to two bill cycles following the trade-in shipping.

Head to T-Mobile for more details.

Sprint

Sprint has a few offers as well, with the 64GB iPhone XS available for $0/month or the 64GB XS Max for $4.17/month following an eligible trade-in. These include iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9+, LG G7 ThinQ, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, Samsung Galaxy Note8, Google Pixel 2, and Google Pixel 2XL.

iphone-xs-arkit.jpg

With the value of the trade-in, you'll get $41.67 per month credit for both 64GB models of the iPhone XS and XS Max, applied within two billing cycles. The new devices must be purchased on an 18-month lease, with a new line and approved credit.

As a more basic offer, if you switch to Sprint you'll get $100 for each new line of service that you add when you lease a new smartphone. The credit will come in the form of a $100 Prepaid Mastercard for each new line that you add. Besides the lease, this deal requires online registration and 60 days of service before you see the card shipped.

Head to Sprint for more details.

Pre-orders for the iPhone XS and XS Max went up at 12:01 a.m. PDT earlier this morning, and shipping estimates for the bigger XS Max began slipping under an hour after orders went live. The new Apple Watch Series 4 also went up for pre-order at the same time today, and now almost all stainless steel Apple Watch Series 4 models are listing shipping dates of October 5 to October 12, with the exception of some 40mm models.

These deals are not appealing to me. Fortunately, I do not have to rely on any deals since I can get sim free one as yearly upgrade is in my budget.

I paid $529 + tax on my Xs Max, but received a $550 credit for my X. I basically paid $75 to upgrade. Sweet!
Elaborate your fact in detail how you could come up with your calculation so everyone in this forum could understand.

I think the under-reported story is that T-Mobile is the only major carrier that requires a hefty down payment for any of the new phones -- as high as $729!!!! That's basically the cost of an Xr. They say it's to keep the EIP installments at $30 level but I should have the option. Plus T-Mo is very vague about "well-qualified" customers not needing this but it appears most people fall under the down payment category. Other carriers are mostly just evenly dividing cost by 24 months.
I hate the way T-Mobile does their installments, when I had Verizon I didn’t have to put any down payment. I just had a higher monthly cost. I don’t have $600+ to put down on a phone

What about

What about the $550 value of your X?

Yeah. Some folks don’t count the value of the trade in, they just look out how much they paid out of pocket. I would not trade in my X 64gb for $500 but people are gladly trading in 256gb C for $500.

yeah these 'deals' suck. at least when the 7 was new ATT did a 'free' 32GB 7 for the tradein of a 6 with no new line required. i aint opening yet another line (which costs about $23 per month on my plan) to get a monthly credit of... $23.

I hate installment plans but did one with my 7 Plus because Verizon’s deal at that time gave me about 50% off the phone’s total cost if I did it that way. None of this is remotely comparable.

None of these are really any good... to single out one...

the $700 promotion will be applied over 30 months.

Why even bother? 30 months to get 700 dollars? That's basically signing a 2.5 year contract. All of them, aside from T-Mobile's Apple Store retail-trade-in amount offer is basically roping you in to a contract.

These deals are not so great. This might be the yr that I just keep my iPhone 6s (since I just got a new battery for 29.00) and pick up the Apple Watch 4.

Do I have to sign up for a new line? What good is that when I have all the lines I need (me and my wife's).

Yawn. Deals that aren't really deals and/or are only worthwhile for a relatively small segment of potential buyers.

... but they're still fodder for advertising campaigns to get people to the websites or into the stores.

Would love to see a repeat of AT&T's free iphone7 via Next monthly credits with trade-in of an iphone 6 or 6s. Turned in my 6 and have been rocking a 7 for free for two years.

I bet they all will use the word "unlimited" incorrectly. differently than I'd like

Fixed. :)

I’m interested in this as well.. I upgraded 3 lines last night. 2 on the iPhone next plan, 1 on the iPhone upgrade program. The difference is the 2 lines on the iPhone upgrade program, I paid off. I’m hoping that that may help a little. So their two fresh next upgrades.. we shall see

You do realize you could have sold your phone on craigslist for $700? So you lost $150 bucks. None of these "deals" from carriers are deals at all.

Edit: Just saw you have a 256GB. Those are going for $800 now, so $250 lost.

What is your time worth to you? To me, trading it in is worth it to not have to deal with the dozens of low ball offers, the meet up, the transaction, etc. etc.

I’m switching both of my lines over to Verizon so might as well take advantage of this deal. I have nothing to lose really. It’s basically a monthly discount. I was getting the same phones no matter what

I’ve usually handled low ball offers by... ignoring them. Takes no time at all.

It's frustrating that basically every one of these requires a trade in, adding a new line, or applies the deal as bill credits over a two year period. Pretty useless deals tbh.
The fact that most of these "$X off" promos are credits, not discounts, should get them slapped for false advertising.

Or people not comfortable using Craigslist or Ebay - either they've heard to many horror stories or personally have been burned.

MR probably should mention that they get affiliate fees if you choose the AT&T "deal".

I tried to click on the AT&T link, but the link doesn't work since it directs to linksynergy.com instead of AT&T.

I truly don't get WHO would fall for the T-Mobile deal (or any trade-in for bill credit offer)? Trade in your relatively current phone now, and not only do they give you about 50% less than what you could sell it for, but they give it to you spread out over 24 months!

How about I disassemble my phone first, and give it to them a piece at a time, and in 24 months, they'll have an entire phone?
Lol. Comment of the day for me. Lmao

Takes time when they ask various questions about it before finally making the low-ball offer.

Oh and then there are the azzhats who low-ball you once you've met up with them.

I calculated the cost for a Mobile Share Flex 10GB AT&T Plan and getting two iPhone XS Max 64GB.
It comes out to be $183.15/month + tax/fees.
($154 tax & $60 activation fee, $85 base plan + $40 device access fee + $73 phone fee - $23 credit)

Total cost of this AT&T BOGO "deal" is $5,861 ($6,561 - $700 credit)

For comparison, you can get 2 lines of AT&T Prepaid (6GB each) for $70/month or $2,240 for 32 months.
Including the full cost of the phones: 2 x $1,099 + $154 tax = $2,352

Total cost for 2 equivalent AT&T Prepaid lines and full price phones for 32 months = $4,592

Which is $1,089 cheaper than this "deal".
