I understand how to configure it. My question is how to confirm a call is being handled by it.its under your settings,>Cellular> Enable LTE> Voice & Data
I posted it after my 1st answer. Make a call, and the LTE icon in the upper left hand corner should still be there, instead of it switching to 4G.
The quality of audio is distinctly different and clearer.
Now, if anyone can figure out how to turn off HD voice but retain VoLTE, that would be absolutely fantastic![]()
Not exactly. VoLTE is needed for HD Voice, but you can be using VoLTE and not be utilizing HD Voice (that currently has carrier and device-specific restrictions right now).HD Voice is VoLTE. HD Voice is just AT&T's marketing term for VoLTE.
It's not a matter of wanting to disable HD voice. It's just that it doesn't work between different carriers and not all phones support it.Why would anyone want to disable HD Voice? It sounds much better than a regular call.
No, but your call still will be routed on LTE, so you'll get faster downloads if you have something downloading in the background. If you have VoLTE and you call someone who doesn't have it, will there be a difference in call quality?

and even if you're both using VoLTE, there's no guarantee of "hd voice".No, but your call still will be routed on LTE, so you'll get faster downloads if you have something downloading in the background.
