Who will continue using LTE after their 3 month free trial expire?
I love the fact that LTE is available on the apple watch and a good choice for anyone to choose but for me I might have used it maybe 4 or 5 times (just for the heck) so after 3 month's I will ditch it...what about you?

Not enough to keep for LTE for me. I think it's a great option to have, but an additional $10 a month would not suffice when I have my iPhone with me primarily all the time as it is.

Over in the UK we got six months to try it out, but so far I don’t think I’ll carry it on. I just don’t leave my phone anyway often enough to need it...

Here in Canada it’s 5$ a month so yes i will keep it after the free trial...
love leaving my phone behind for short errands...

In the UK,I’ll keep it for £5 a month, great out on the bike, just take one small tool for strava and emergency calls, wife uses find my friends to make sure I’m still on the move, well worth the money.

The more people that cancel it after the trial period, the more likely the carriers will reduce the monthly fee. I'm probably going to cancel it also. If they reduce the price, I'd probably sign up again.
I’m hoping the same. There will be many thousands signing up for the free trial and hopefully, thousands cancelling. That might do it.

As others have said it’s a six month trial period here and £5/month after that. I hope never to need it but it’s worth a fiver a month to know that I’m still contactable if I forget my phone or its battery dies.

For half the price of $10, I would keep it as well. I think five dollars isn't that substantial and even if I use LTE a few times a month, that five dollars be worth it to me.

Unfortunately probably not since unlike churn there is no revenue reduction by deciding not to pay. There is only a positive revenue from those who do pay.

Remains to be seen if I retain the sub after the 6 months trial. I have recently upgraded my sim only contract for £24 with lots of goodies, it’s highly unlikely i’d slap another £5 for the watch:rolleyes:

How do you get the trial ?

I'll likely keep the LTE service. $14.66 including taxes and fees on AT&T with my 4 line unlimited everything plan. Couple of Starbucks or a few diet cokes fewer will cover it and be healthier. For me, I only use it on motorcycle errands here and there and while out running 3-4 times per week. But it's worth the connectivity without having to tote the phone around.

I've only a few weeks in though, so we'll see after some more time.

Same. I think it’s $11 and change on T-Mobile. I love runs and walks with only my watch. Looking to use it more and more without the phone. It should cost a lot less...maybe they will lower the price, but I can always cancel if I feel I’m not using it...

I’m never without my phone so don’t need it. I bought my SS 3 for its looks and durability. $10 + fees = ~ $156.00 per yr. ten dollars a month doesn’t seem much until you add it up.

I just got my watch delivered a few minutes ago and setup. I am on T-Mobile so I activated the three month trial. I'll likely cancel the service afterwards because I really don't need it. I just bought the LTE watch just in case.

I’ll keep it, despite not really needing it. I’ve only used it to test it but it’s worth it for emergencies.

I’m also in the UK and have 20% off via Corp discount. So it might even be £4 per month extra.

That's the thing with this first version of the LTE watch... the battery life on LTE is very, very poor to the extent that in terms of making calls it has to be *emergency* only and just for a few minutes and of course the watch has no camera so really, how many situations will you *not* carry your iPhone? even running I take my iPhone although i suppose that is the most likely use case, maybe ocean swimming? Bottom line either the functionality and battery life has to majorly improve or this has to become a free or nearly free add-on to a big plan like many iPhone users have with their carriers, a free AW option might tempt me to a different carrier example, but right now I am on Verizon and by the time you would pay taxes and fees it would $17 or so a month which is INSANE considering I bet I wouldn't really use LTE in a meaningful way more than once or twice a month.

Almost 17.00 dollars not only crazy but its insane....if you ask me it should be free. But as i said previously after 3 month's I will cancel it. I think I used it maybe 3 or 4 times just for fun showing off and my phone is always with me...and don't forget wifi calling is a tremendous asset at home and everywhere where the watch remembers wifi.
