Anyone care to share their latest Verizon bill. If people are paying similar to what ATT is charging I will cut the cord after trial period is up.

I'm on my 2nd billing cycle and expected the taxes to decrease after the initial activation, but this is what I'm seeing on AT&T (in California) for a total of $17.75/mo–

Monthly plan charges for 11/24 - 12/23 $10.00
- Access for Apple Watch $10.00

Surcharges & fees $2.80
- Administrative Fee $0.76
- Federal Universal Service Charge $0.77
- Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge $1.25
- State Public Utility Surcharge $0.02

Government taxes & fees $4.95
- CHCF A $0.02
- City Utility Users Tax $0.99
- Local Wireless 911 Surcharge $3.39
- Relay Service Device Fund $0.03
- State 911 Tax $0.06
- Teleconnect Fund $0.09
- Universal Lifeline $0.37

Interestingly, we're not charged "Government taxes & fees" for the iPad, just the Apple Watch. I'd love to be able to run without my phone, but not for $17.75/mo!
I live in So. Cal and I am with ATT as well, and my charges for the watch look exactly like yours with the exception of the City Utility Tax - .99 and the Local Wireless 911 Surcharge 3.39 (wow).
I would call and have them explain those two charges. Especially the 911 surcharge.
My Total for the watch is $13.37 which is still ridiculous for what it is and I am going to cancel at the end of the free trial.

I did. Those are local fees (Nor Cal here) and are assessed to all lines that have voice service, hence the Watch but not the iPad.

Cancelled LTE service and packed the Watch up to send back today. My whole reason to upgrade to Series 3 was for LTE while on daily runs. I still prefer running with a Garmin, so I've been using the Watch as a glorified iPod nano with cell service. But for $17.75/mo I'll stick with swapping my iPhone X Sim card into an old iPhone SE when I go out for my runs!

I will most likely keep it. It’s the main feature I was waiting for and it fits for me. If I find I no longer need it over time, then I will cancel.

Canceling here, in fact I think I already did cancel as it does not appear on my bill anymore but the cellular section is still working for now....

Totally worth it as far as I am concerned. I have never run with my phone, so at least now I have the security of knowing I can contact someone in an emergency if need be .. phones are just too bulky to run with.

Plus I am an Apple Music subscriber, so always stream music while I run

I think it is a great running watch with LTE just for the sense of security and streaming music.

I also like that I don't have to carry my around with all the time now, especially if I am just going out to the store or something like that.

I am with AT&T and it comes out to $14.39 with taxes and surcharges in North Carolina.

Has anyone who has canceled their watch cell service been offered a lower monthly rate to keep it active?

I called Verizon after reading here about $17.50 on ATT. The Verizon rep said it wold cost me less than $12 per month. I will keep the LTE after the trial ends but, if it turns out she was wrong and it cost me more than $12 I will terminate.

I do not recall getting a reminder from VZ that the 3-month trial is about to end soon. Interesting.. but I am not paying for this useless thing (at least useless for me).

AT&T quoted me $12.50/month also. That almost covers the "surcharges and other fees," but didn't include "government fees and taxes." I'd just take a close look at your bill when you receive it.

Verizon will not remind you in all likliness. They're going to charge you after your 90 days has concluded, which will reflect in advance on your next invoice.

I'm disappointed in what I've experienced so far with the LTE on my AW3 when out of range from my iPhone with the WiFi turned off on the watch. I live in a rural neighborhood where cell service is pretty poor and 3G is usually what my iPhone is getting out here. Very rarely will it pick up 1 bar of LTE and when it does, it doesn't last. So my AW is not connecting to cellular at all when I'm out walking in my neighborhood away from my iPhone with WiFi disabled. I drove into the city where my iPhone was getting 4 bars of LTE and tested out my AW3 at this location. It did connect but with only 3 green dots and I was able to successfully send and receive text messages and calls. But I noticed while in the city that my AW3 often would go back to the status of 'not connected'. Due to the unreliability I've experienced so far, I will not be renewing after the 3 month trial.
