What's greedy is that Apple has type C ports in the iPhone 15 and 16 but they still run at USB 2.0 SuperSpeed, 480 Mbps. The initial restore of my iPhone 15 (from the 2022 iPhone SE) seemed quick enough, but it wasn't exactly speedy. I wanted to try the phone-to-phone transfer but that didn't work.
I just wish the 16e had DisplayPort capability. According to the Apple chat agent I talked to the Lightning Digital AV Adapter works with the USB-C to Lightning Adapter. I ordered the latter to try it out. It’ll have lag though unlike DisplayPort.

I think it's a personal decision, I just replaced my Ultra 2 and 15 Pro Max with a new Series 10 and 16e. Intial impressions are positive on both sides. The funny thing being trade in value covered the entire thing and now I have an $18 credit.

Going from top end devices to the low end phone and middle level watch is an interesting move.

The watch and phone had to match in my eyes. So series 10 silver was best choice with a white 16e. Stamina wise the 16e looks to outlast a 15 pro max in battery life so it was a no brainer for me personally as that’s my biggest concern with my phone.

Sounds like the right move. The 16e is certainly not a low end device despite what some say. Enjoy your new setup!

It’s still early day but I’m waiting for for 100% to drop to 99% and that’s just mind boggling to me coming from the big phone of a year ago.

Just got tried it today and it doesn’t work. Confirmed the Lightning Digital AV Adapter is on the latest firmware with my SE3.
