Of course, theres a room for improvements, but with the X’s great camera, are there any major improvements to be done?

Megapixels, unless you print it on giant papers, wouldnt really matter, if Im not mistaken. And most of us just use it for social media or such.

What do you think guys?

I would definitley welcome an increase in Megapixels to 16 or 20, if they also increase the sensor size. Simply because loading current pics onto my 5K iMac and just cropping them a little shows that 12 are not enough, at least for me.
And, call me crazy, but I would also like an additional 1 or 2 cameras on the back, to go the route that the Light L16 is taking right now. Having a main one but 3 additional ones with different focal length, e.g. 1x with 70mm and one with something else and then merging them into one picture afterwards would be hughe. With all the SoC power, this should be fun.

Edit: Also would like to see a bump in the front facing cam. Bump it up to 12MP and make it wide but only slightly so

Edit2: And please! We do have so many options to customize the camera in the settings app that I really wish for optional RAW shooting within the main camera app and maybe even allow for seperate focus and exposure like Camera+ is doing. Its just a lot more conveniant to use the Apple Own App

Absolutely improve it further for the next models. It can always get better, even if it's pretty good right now.

Since technical specs are perfectly fine for me atm, all I wish for is a rear camera that isn't sticking out of the case and a front camera that is not put into a notch on the screen.

How?

Just make it better! Stop giving us the same crap re worked. Higher megapixels, better sensor, better low light performance, and spin the dam camera back around, it looks better the other way around and is better for performance all around.

The pixel XL beats up on the iPhone X in camera performance, which should not even be a possible feat, but low and behold it very much is!
