My guess is around tomorrow morning?

Apple is probably getting the servers ready for the iPod touch upgrade, and since LOTS OF PEOPLE are planning to upgrade, they might be adding the iTunes servers so that it doesn't bring iTunes down, like what happened during x-mas two years ago, when lot of people tried to redeem their iTunes gift card, which led to iTunes server crashing.....

I've got mine hooked up at work, i keep clicking check for up dates every 2 seconds:)

Hi i'm James BTW pleased to meet you!

I've been downloading apps all morning, so i'll have plenty to play with tonight (hopefully.....)

i got home from work today thinking i would be able to get 2.0 seeing the new phone came out about 19 hours ago here (Australia), but i guess living in the future doesn't always have it's advantages :D

I don't think the launch of 2.0 has anything to do with the iPhone launch. After all, iPhone users have been able to update to 2.0 since Thursday. Also, the apps have been available to download since then.

im downloading it now but not sure if i want to go with it or not. Whats this about having to pay for the upgrade, I already have the last paid up grade (with notes etc etc) will i have to pay for this one as well?

Me too - slow download though.

Touch users will have to pay for the official upgrade - about £10 I believe. Not bad for the extra functionality.

Have you tried this?

I'm downloading right now. Another guy said it worked

Well it worked. It's syncing now. I never got the January Apps, but they are all there with 2.0.

I actually didn't realize that this was the same paid 2.0. (I some how got it in my mind that there would be a free version and a paid one. Dumb, I know.)

Anyways, it took forever to load up but it looks great now. I am totally going to give Apple ten $10 tomorrow morning. I would suggest everyone does the same. (Come on)

Hmmm i dunno, my update has finished and is sitting on my desktop. it looks genuine, or i could just wait for the official one. Its not the cost that bothers me, it impatience...

The file name says 5A345. Isn't that the beta build? That's the only thing holding me back from trying.

Btw, paying no matter what, like others have said. Ima wait this one out. Looks like someone just put up the beta 2.0 (Which should be identical to release except in number, but problems with official apple updates may come up- who knows?)
