Hmmm i dunno, my update has finished and is sitting on my desktop. it looks genuine, or i could just wait for the official one. Its not the cost that bothers me, it impatience...

It's real. Bunch of people are downloading. I have mine installed. Synced fine. Playing with it now.

well i bit the proverbial bullet and tried it. It was unable to update because it was a "bad file"

Think I'm just gonna hang on until its finally available. Come on Steve pull your bloody finger out!!

It did show that it was available but when you click "Learn More" says that iTunes store unavailable!! KILL ME NOW!

I keep alternating between '1.1.4 is the newest version' and 'iTunes store is unavailable.' It is actually very exciting! Variety is the spice of life, right? no.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Blubber Blubber! Why am I so worked up about this? I love it!!! I am going to run around the office shouting "Super Monkey Ball" once this thing goes live.

Why can't Apple just make up their freaking minds!? Do they want to release the update yet or not?

I can just see Steve Jobs sitting there, laughing his head off, as he continues to confuse us...

Is it normal that it is very slow to download? Sorry if anyone already asked this question, I didn't take the time to read all the comments
How long will it take to download?

At what time can I download 2.0 in CST time (in the US)?

Nobody knows when Apple will make this available. It was wrong of them to put a 2.0 download link on their site when they know the link doesn't work.

I like Apple products, but their service is really ill-conceived.

C'mon it's gone back to 1.1.4 as the latest version :(

It's going to be as bad as this tomorrow anyway, so I don't know why people seem to think it will get better tomorrow - it's not like the servers are going to grow extra space overnight...

Interesting that CNET posts the direct link, but it is against the rules here.

Nobody can or will tell you what to do with the resulting files anyway, so it hardly matters.

This http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1545972/1550444/ link worked for me, running 2.0 and want to get back to playing Crash Bandicoot on my Touch, so I'll keep it simple:

1. Click the link , individually download all 3 rapidshare '.rar' files.

2. After you have the 3 '.rar.' files in the same place, open one of them with UnRarX. (you may need to install it).

3. Go to iTunes, shift click (or option click) restore, and select the .ipsw file that was created in the location of the .rar files.

Enjoy! Works great for me!
