ATI 5770 in mac pro 1,1?

I have been reading people have been upgrading their MP 1,1 with the ati 5770, is this true? and is it plug and play?

It is supposed to be plug and play I'm guessing you must have 10.6

The Apple version 5770 is plug and play on your mac pro with Snow Leopard.

I just put one in my Mac Pro 1,1 the other day, love it, works great, I highly recommend it.
