So, I'd say there is about a 25% chance we'll see it on Macs around New Year, about a 25% chance it will be later than that, and about a 49% chance there will never be a Mac version of this particular GPU. Very exciting...

The 3870 and 4870 were both released for Macs. I would be surprised if the trend DIDNT follow for the 5870.

they will most likely add it as a bto option with the next macpros. id be surprised if they didnt.

That is actually ok.
Apple can keep their overprices stuff and rest of us can flash a pc version of it for half the price.
Nowadays I feel happy when I dont have to give apple my money.
