I heard from a friend who's a pro photog that the nVidia cards tend to give images an unatural blue cast, and ATI's are more color correct. anybody have any info on this? if it's true, is it the same situation for the geforce 4 ti?

I recently gave my ATi card the boot and now use an nVidia card. I've not noticed anything like what you describe.

its probably going to be something that you can only tell looking at them side by side...but apparently its enough to throw off print.....

PHOTO realistic, as in really really high res images, yes, the ATI card is way better with color and doesn't do weird stuff...
nVidia it more into the game stuff like, so monitor stuff usually "looks" better...and occationaly those print things don't look good...
and yes, side by side is the best way...
nVidia = Games, ATI = Print
that's just my opinion, i have both in my 867 tower...GF3 for games and Radeon for print production
