I just did a software update today on my Mac Pro (I have the standard Radeon HD 2600 card) and it offered a firmware update to the card itself...version 1.0.
I haven't had any graphics problems, but I went ahead and upgraded...still no graphics problems 🙂
Seems like a worthwhile update, especially since I think *some* people were having trouble with their video/graphics cards
