I have the ROM file and am using ati flash on a 5770. I get stuck with an error:

Old SSID: 2543
New SSID: 2990
SSID mismatched

Error 0FL01

I have unlocked the ROM, but cannot find any help with this particular error.
[doublepost=1479096993][/doublepost]By the way, the 5770 is going to go into another Mac Pro, and it is serving as a training-run for when I want to flash my 7950 card.

Not sure what you're planning to do? Sounds like cross-flashing a ROM form one card to a different one.

I have a PC-5770 and I want to flash it with a Mac-EFI on the 5770.

Once I understand how this process works, I will then also do it to my other graphics card, a 7950.

I think Florian means that you try to flash a ROM which actually not for that card (even though that's a 5770 ROM, it doesn't mean that the ROM fit your card).

The 7950 itself is bad-flash proof (dual ROM design). As long as you only flash one of the ROM, you don't need another card to practice.

Okay, looks like I need a different ROM file for the 5770. The one I have is a Sapphire card which looks exactly like this one below. Any idea where I can find the proper ROM file to flash this for my Mac?

Yes, that's the way to go. The stock 5770 ROM will most certainly brick your card.
