ATITool with NVIDIA MacBook Pro?

I've only just heard that ATITool works with NVIDIA graphics chipsets.

Would you recommend using it with the MBP's 8600M GT? If so, what kind of settings, and what sort of performance boost am I looking at?

the last I used ATITool, it would only allow for monitor of GPU temps and clock speed for NVIDIA and wouldn't actually allow over-clocking - this was several months ago though.
