Just came across these mysteriously cheap (compared to even Asus, Viewsonic, etc) 27" 5k monitors at £499-599.
Was wondering if anyone has any experience using them, and if they're recommened?
Are they just the Kuycon monitors without their branding?

They're not the same as the Kuycon, but in the same boat I suppose. The best summary highlighting Kuycon, AtomFun, Tcoior, etc. that I've read was from KevZ in replying to a question in the comments on his review of the Kuycon G32P:

"My honest advice in 2026? Is to be cautious about Chinese brand without local or at least regional support. You may find it hard to believe from someone like myself but hear my out.

A bit of context - product like Tcolor and Kuycon came from similar background, they even headquartered in the same region of China. These brands are what we call "white label / DIY brands" - started in someone's garage by engineers who not only have the know how but also conveniently located at where every 3C product is made (Guangdong China). They are called white label because although they generally have good products, they lack in almost all other aspects of a good brand - design choice, logistic, custom services etc.

But over time One or Two of these brands stared to generate A LOT more sales from outside of China, only then they start to have distribution center, manage their own sales channels, have reliable warranty and english speaking customer service etc - and Kuycon is probably the first one of them (at least for now).

I'm all for premium tech at discounted price but company like Tcolor is probably not there yet, you will probably need to order via alibaba or something and I wouldn't be so confident with post sale support. Hopefully this answers your question without a full video, I suggest you to research a bit more on reddit before making purchasing decision, cheers 🙂"

I've tried both Kuycon and Tcoior with their 32" 6K offerings ... Kuycon had the better packaging, fit and finish ... but it's also twice the price as the Tcoior.

Wow, cheers for all the info.
Good that there's more 5k options now.

Kuycon monitors are owned by Guangzhou Guankai Electronic Technology Co., LTD, which is a division of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (which if I'm not mistaken is run by the Chinese government). The company focuses on the manufacture and sale of high-quality displays (not just computer displays), and Kuycon is the brand name specifically for the computer monitor line.
