I know this has been discussed over and over again but I'm confused about the cross-upgrade process. I've read you need to activate the phone on the number that was used for the upgrade first and then call ATT. However, I've also read that you can't change the number on the nano sim and att will need to provide you with another nano sim with the correct number.

Should I activate the phone in iTunes using the number used for the upgrade or use my number? Or should I just call ATT?

There seems to be a lot of conflicting information about the process.

I've also answered this numerous times. Don't activate the phones. Call AT&T from another line or go to the store and they will take care of it. Ask for a cross activation. That's the easiest way for them to handle it.

OK that's what I was planning on doing. I just hope I don't need to go to the ATT store because it could be crazy tomorrow.

Thanks!

Don't turn the phone on, then call AT&T.
