So right now I have ATT insurance for my iPhone X because I worry about losing my phone since it's so expensive. I personally never liked ATT insurance because of the quality of their replacement phones, they're mostly refurbished and I have known so many people who have had issues in the past. I know Apple's replacement phones aren't brand new, but I definitely trust them more than ATT. Sadly, ATT is the only one that offers protection against lost and theft!
I know I have 60 days to decide whether to purchase applecare or not, but I don't know if it would be a smart decision to get both or one over the other. I know most of you will tell me this is something that only I can decide, but I need some help from y'all. Do you think having both isn't necessary? Should I just keep the $200 I have for Applecare and put it away in case I ever need ATT insurance and I can use that money towards the deductible instead or should I ditch ATT insurance completely and purchase Applecare?
I have never broken the screen of my iPhones in the past, but I have heard the X is easy to shatter. I have used Applecare Plus, but only related to battery issues or my iPhone not charging properly. I've never had to pay a deductible to Apple and every year I get a refund when I cancel my protection plan and purchase a new iPhone.
Any advice is really appreciated.
Thanks.
