Most Americans are living in such fear that insurance industry is growing in unprecedented level.

Lousy media is the cause...and all these "what if's" will just keep all of us locked up in the closet behind the internet.

Just go to state farm. $40 with no deductible. Anything from Att will be a ripoff.

They quoted me $11/year with $30 deductible. They said 199 isn't enough to insure though, even though new is 599. Insuring 2 phones would work they said

Maybe to you, but I don't have StateFarm. I paid over $700 for my iP4, so to me $11/month is more than worth it, even if I never end up using the insurance.

I don't know. Isn't Squaretrade better? Not sure if they even have deductibles though, but compared to AT&T's service...

Why can't AT&T just provide regular insurance like on the rest of their phones?
AT&T doesn't set the rate, Asurion does. AT&T really has nothing to do with the insurance, as this is obtained by downloading an App to your device, and setting up the insurance directly through Asurion.… I do wish the monthly rate was lower, but that's the price you pay for going through Asurion.

No, not to me. If I am going to pay for insurance, I want it to also cover lost/stolen, which is something that Squaretrade doesn't offer, but Asurion does.
