Hi everybody!

I just found on myatt app that all my 3 lines are signed by Att to "sponsored data". It costs 0 dollars. Strange Att never gives something for free and you know where we can find free cheese:) Never signed for this feature, they change my plan whatever they want , just pay and don't ask :)

I have 3 UDP grandfather plan.

I checked online it is a new att project (since 2014), certain providers/companies pay att for traffic.

I worry here:
1. About my privacy, if att sends any my personal info to the companies?
2. If I disconnect this unnecessary (using here J. Legere Harvard-MIT language) BS, can I keep my UDP?
3. My internet speed?
4. Why att added this option without letting me know?
6. Sponsored Data and Att Sponsored Perks are the same. Are they going to show me more ads?
7. Your opinion FCC Internet neutrality and Att Sponsored Data , is it legal?

For 10 years with Cingular/Att I found one strage consistent pattern, the moment I switch to auto pay they started overcharge (always return), change features, add some "quirky" services.

Thanks to everybody.

If memory serves it allows apps/services to buy data from AT&T so when you use the app/services the data consumed doesn't count against your data allowance. Essentially geared towards shared data plans.

This, it was added to show the free data you are using that doesn't count toward your limit. I think they had the deal with Beats if you bought paid through att, the data used to stream the music didn't count toward the limit. I know T-mobile currently does this with spotify. They didn't really add anything so much as help make the bill easier to read. Which being on unlimited data doesn't really matter.
