I have the 2 wire AT&T router, connected to my time capsule via ethernet.
The internet is super slow. I have 12mbps on my account and speedtest.net says i am getting 10mbps. But the internet is loading slower than that. if i try to open two pages at a time sometimes it says failed to open. and i can never just type google, i have to type google.com. I've cleaned all my mac's systems and added 68.94.156.1 and .157. to all the mac's airport DNS settings. what am i doing wrong? i can't call bc they dont seem to know anything about time capsules, airports, or mac's.

I'm a UVerse user as well with a 25meg line and I routinely get 23 meg. You'll never get the advertised speed due to overhead.

I don't know what this has to do with Time Capsule per se, but if you are routinely getting page timeouts, it sounds like the very common UVerse DNS issues.

The DSLReports website has a very active Uverse community, including a way for your discuss your issue DIRECTLY with AT&T Uverse Tier 2/3 technical support members. I never go through AT&T's help desk service center any more....I just post on the AT&T Direct forums there and get problems resolved usually on the same day I post. I've had a few and these guys are top notch...real miracle workers.

You may also want to read through the rather lengthy thread about slow web page loading via Uverse here:

    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22349614-We-got-some-news-Slow-Web-Page-Loading~start=160

The DSL Reports AT&T Uverse forums here:

And AT&T Direct support forums here:

Please be aware that when making posts on the AT&T Direct forums, they require a VERY specific protocol for your message content. These messages are private between you and the AT&T Support reps so make sure you post the right information when asking for help or you'll be ignored.

    Good luck!

I found a thread that said to add some DNS numbers.
    I added 68.94.257.1 and .157.
    And I added OpenDNS.
Things seem to be doing better.

    I did contact AT&T and AT&T U-verse on Facebook.
    They also reply quickly.

The issue I have found is the 2-Wire modem doesn't support Apple.
So AT&T needs to offer another (better) gateway or modem.
