Is there a good Thread or Guide or Link that compares ATT vs Verizon iPhone4 purchase - both price-wise and customer experience-wise
1) I am a first time iphone buyer
2) I prefer to do all my transaction online and not at a retail location
3) Reception in my area is fine for both ATT and VZ
4) I will be a moderate user - so mid level plans are what I can afford
> Thanks in Advance

The two main must-haves you need to look at are international use and reception in your area (or the areas you travel to). If you are satisfied that you either don't have such needs, or that both carriers meet your needs, then it comes down to plans.

I don't think there's much difference between the plans offered by each.

Verizon allows you to lock in unlimited data right now, and presumably be grandfathered in.

AT&T has rollover minutes for talk.

If AT&T 3G service is good in your area, it is likely to be faster than Verizon data.

AT&T has mobile to any mobile too.

I would go with AT&T since you have good coverage.

- faster 3G data (most likely)
- roll over minutes
- unlimited mobile to any mobile (if you have unlimited txt)
- GSM iPhone will probably sell higher if you decide to resell it

Verizon and AT&T plans are fairly the same price. There are perks to each carrier though.

Verizon has unlimited 3G data for $30 a month. So if you plan on using the web a lot, then I'd consider it. AT&T has $25 for 2GB of data.

I know you can do transactions for AT&T online. Not sure about Verizon, but I would assume the same.

Online transactions for Verizon as well. There's also an app for Verizon that allows you to pay your bill from your phone, pretty cool. I'm sure there's one for AT&T also.
