Attaching iMac stand to a VESA mount version

I have an opportunity to get a 2017 iMac 27" from someone, but they have the VESA mount version and no stand. A VESA mount won't work where I need to put the iMac so I'd like to put the Apple stand on it. Can you buy the OEM stand anywhere and attach it to a VESA mount version, or am I limited to third party options what have a VESA mount on some sort of stand?

Installing a stand requires complete disassembly. No easy way to swap it.
