I was offered 299, I have a 32GB white model. I can't really figure out the going rate for the device anymore with the release of the iP4 so any advice would be great.

Thanks,
JG

i would say 300-400...depends on how picky you are. 300 is a good price through it will sell quick. in my area on craigslist they are asking for 280-400+

That sounds about right to me, if you have patience!

Do you have ios4 running or is it 3.1.3? I listed my 16gb 3GS for $300 and would get some bites until they found out I was running iOS4. After about a week I finally sold it for $265. I could have gotten more maybe but I didn't want to wait the 2-3 weeks and have to keep messing with it so I came down and it sold about 2 days later.

Yeah, it's running iOS4 but that is pretty clearly stated in my for sale post on another board. I keep getting nibbles at 300, but I had to purchase the iP4 at full retail so as much as I can irk out I will.

So far I am thinking of asking 325 shipped and calling it a day, seems like a failr price.

Do you guys realize that you can install old os's easily?

I just sold my white 16gb for $330 on eBay. I really think it's all luck. I know my other friend sold his white 32gb for $450

More money for 1. I got $750 for my 32gb unlocked 3.1.2 white iphone 3gs in May. Fudge that was the longest 60 day of my life with out my iphone.

Sure, but is there a reason I should do that?

So you can jailbreak them and unlock them. You can get a good bit more money for them that way. Unfortunately, there is no way right now to do it since you installed IOS4 though there should be in a couple of weeks.

I bought a 3GS 32GB black for $170 with AppleCare until December. Pretty awesome IMO.

My 32 GB 3GS is running iOS 4 and is jailbroken and unlocked

Yes, but if you did like me and have not previously jailbroken your iphone and installed IOS4, it cannot be done yet. I researched the crap out of it because I want to sell my phone and saw that you can get a lot more for unlocked phones. There are also problems with phone with the new bootroms (which I have).
