Amazon refunded me the cost of the cable lol, they have asked for more information and pictures which they will pass on to their technical team.
I'm going to the Apple store tomorrow to hopefully get a replacement adapter and to see what they say.
I dont like this "all digital" stuff, definitely burns more than the 30 pin
