May be an odd question, but I do quite a bit of traveling and I did notice when I switched from the 11' MBA to a 13" MBA that it no longer comfortably fits on trays on Amtrak or flights. Anyone try the new rMB and have a report?

Had a flight yesterday. Fits perfectly.

Fits, sort of. You will be at risk of having the guy in front of you put his seat back suddenly and your screen crushed. Happened to me. Only the deformation of your tray will save it. It was really unnerving. I won't put it there again.

The rMB and 11" MBA are extremely close in footprint. The rMB is a tiny bit deeper and a bit narrower but a soft case for either will fit the other so in general where the 11" MBA fit, the rMB will fit and vise versa.

I fly a lot and have never had trouble with my MBA or my rMB on a tray table of a normal size jet. Some commuter or regional jets are marginal (fit is fine but you might not be able to tilt your screen back enough to get a good viewing angle).
