Is it true with the recent tax hike that it will effect online music sales, such as iTunes as well? That's what I heard but I don't know if that's right or not.

I cannot completely confirm or deny this, but it was my understanding that the state was considering a sales tax but hadn't actually written it into law with this recent hike. I'm not sure though, it very well could be.

In other NJ news, (not to thread hijack, thus the white hidden) but Apple is opening a new retail store in the cherry hill mall.

I heard that the sales tax goes into effect on July 15, 2006 but the online music tax, or whatever it is, may not be until October 1, 2006. 😕 😕 😕
