ATV 2 - Netflic - Does 5.1 work properly?

I know the ATV was updated in March to support Netflix's 5.1 streaming, I'm just looking for some confirmation that it works properly before I go buy one. Will I have any trouble splitting the sound to an optical input and running the video through HDMI?

It works well for me. I'm running an optical cable to my receiver and HDMI to my TV.

I picked one up today and it seems to work fine. There's surprising not much 5.1 content on there. What I've found seems to work with no problems though. Slick little device.
