I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I have this issue every single time I use my ATV 4K. When I turn it on from sleep mode or whatever its called, the ATV has no artwork for all categories. TV, Apps, Movies, TV shows and Music are all empty of any information or artwork/poster information. It will eventually show up, maybe 5 - 10 minutes later. Selecting and entering into one of those categories will lead to some poster/ artwork will be shown, but anything new will be blank. Eventually, within 5 - 10 minutes they will appear. Also, occasionally, clicking on an movie or tv show will just lead to the spinning circle and will sit there for a minute or so like that. I'll need to exit and select the movie again for it to show up.

Connected via monoprice HDMI cable to a Vizio P65-F1. On WiFi and less than 2 feet from the router. Settings are all default, except for display is set to 4K Dolby Vision with the match frame rate setting on.

It's kind of silly to have to wait for this stuff to load on an almost $200 streaming device. Maybe I should just do away with the ATV and go with a Roku or Fire TV. I'm just so invested in the Apple eco system that I figured it would be a burden to switch.

Yea, thats the first thing I thought of. Maybe its a network issue. I installed SpeedTest and I'm getting normal speeds, 200 down, 20 up on average. I've tested multiple times throughout the day. Ive also ran the test built into the VuDu app. I'm using a Comca$t wireless router/modem by Cisco. Maybe its just a weird issue between the two devices. I haven't tried a wired connection though. I'll try that out tonight.

So you're saying you don't experience that issue at all right? Everything streams fine, no stutters or buffering ever. Its literally just the artwork and posters that don't load.

No, I don't experience this. Then again, I only stream from my local iTunes library/server.
Try the hard reboot (power cable off) first.

My icons are always there, but occasionally I do get the spinning circle at startup and right away I know this shouldn't happen so I immediately back up and it always starts on the second try.

This only has happened lately, but not often enough for me to spend any time on it. I suspect mostly Apple's fault. On our end I suspect a less than efficient DNS config maybe contributing.
