    Hi all,

I have an Apple TV 2G (running latest update) and an SL iMac w/ iTunes 10.2.2, and since i upgraded iTunes to 10.2.2, my Home sharing libraries keep disappearing. I can be watching a film on the ATV and then about 15 minutes in it quits to the home screen, and the library I was using has disappeared, with the only way to fix the situation being to restart iTunes on the iMac. Very frustrating, and only just started doing it.

    Any ideas?! Thanks to all

FIXED - By restoring the ATV to factory settings with latest update.

Yeah it's quite annoying, and even more annoyingly its the only device in the house that I haven't jailbroken! I'm going to try restoring the ATV and downgrading my iTunes see if that solves it

Have you tried shutting off and turning back on home sharing on the ATV? This works for me and takes only a few seconds.

Or do the same in iTunes, although this generally requires me to retype my password, so it takes a few extra seconds. It's much quicker than restarting iTunes in my opinion.

Yeah, I was going to suggest a restore of the ATV.

I used to have the same problem (losing connection mid-stream, then showing no Home Shared libraries), but I restored my ATV and reestablished network settings and it's been fine since.

The only annoyance that happens now is after a period of not using the ATV, it has trouble finding my iTunes library until I either close/open iTunes or restart the Airport on my MacBook Pro. The only conclusion I've come to is that it's having trouble finding it on the network after the connection is lost (due to MBP falling asleep or being shut down) and despite the MBP being on, connected to the same network, and running iTunes, it needs something to "trigger" the connection.
