I am trying to figure out if this is possible or what might be possible. I have a couple of apple TV 2 and I would like to be able to have access to my movie lib while on the road or even while at my weekend get away. I have a laptop I can use to run a new instance of iTunes and run the same home sharing ID. I am trying to figure out a way not to duplicate my movies and carry them with me in an external drive. I was hoping there would be a way I could set up my local instance that has enough storage for all my movies and music and access it on another aTV while away.
Is this possible and has anyone got this in some form or another. I really don't want to purchase a small external drive that I have to take while traveling along with all the other stuff.
