atv updated, now can't access international itunes

Looks like tvos11 hit while I was out of town. Up until now we had my apple id and my wife's added (hers is a japanese account), and we could switch back and forth easily in settings to access both the US and Japanese itunes stores, rent japanese movies, etc.

Now that the atv has updated, when we switch to her account, the movies still show the exact same american selections. The japanese itunes store no longer appears to be available.

Is this a bug or is it by design?

If the latter, and we go through the hassle of downgrading back to os10, how long will we be able to stay on it?

All I can state for sure, is I can switch between the USA and UK accounts still just fine on both my ATV and ATV4K.

Is your location also changing? Maybe try deleting your accounts from the ATV and then re-adding them? It's working fine here, as I say - just watched a movie in the UK, switched account and watched a US one. I can't see them singling out Japan for special treatment.

I wouldn't think so either... I tried manually changing region to Japan but it had no effect, nor did rebooting. Will try removing and readding the account, thx.
