Ok I know questions have been asked before using monitors with ATV. I've read somewhere that you can use HDMI-DVI adaptor then use DVI-VGA adaptor with it, but with analog/digital issues this doesn't work. So I looked around and found a cheap vga box that uses component to vga.

I got
1. money for ATV
2. old vga LCD monitor
3. left over money for XCM 1080P VGA BOX

here's a little review on it.

will it work? will I have problems with ratio if my lcd isn't widescreen? or will this vga box adjust it for me? and since this vga box only uses progresive signals will it be ok?

if anyone knows a cheaper way that they have used please let me know 😀

i suggest be neil armstrong on this one and take the first step. and we would be waiting for a complete review after that.

good luck.

theoretically though, will it work you think? Just trying to find out from ATV owners if I'm overlooking something since I do not know all the options on the ATV.
