I've noticed of late that on ATV3 anything on Netflix takes a minute or so to load. New HD shows and old shows like MASH. I tried on my iPad with the same connection and location and load times take seconds. Other channels too load slower: MLB.TV, Showtime, HBO..etc. I changed DNS to Google's with the same result. WiFi shows 4 bars.

Anyone ideas or experiencing slower show load times?

Where physically is the aTV?
if you draw a straight line from the aTV to the router, how many things does the signal have to go through?

if your aTV is buried in an A/V cabinet between a lot of metal objects, or if the TV or other electronics are between the aTV and the router, that can affect your signal quality.

chances are your iPad is in the open, and has a pretty clear signal path.

if you can wire the aTV, you will get the best results.

I've had occasional problems with Netflix loading. On the occasions where the Internet connection was not the issue, a simple restart of the Apple TV has fixed the problem every time except one and on that occasion a reset fixed the problem. Both options can be found at the bottom of the general settings.

The advice above is also very good. It could just be some interference that isn't as much of a problem when signal is strong but on the occasional dip in network, problems can occur. If the restart/reset doesn't work, I would investigate this option next.

Not exactly a straight line and the wifi travels downstairs. There was no problem until recently. Not sure if modem maybe dying a slow death or Uverse is capping me? I had a my iPad upstairs near the modem and I got a carrier doesn't have enough bandwidth for a few seconds while watching MLB.TV.

I tried that when I changed the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8. After the change I restarted and unplugged the ATV for 10 seconds.

I'm thinking of piggy backing another router and using that wifi instead?
