I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this before, but I figured I would post anyway since a Google search didn't net many accurate results.

My fiancée and I have a ATV4 in the living room of our apartment next to the Comcast router. We also have a ATV3 that is in our bedroom. Over the course of the last two weeks, we have been encountering a lot of streaming issues with the ATV3. Essentially the device is unable to connect and stream to Netflix, Hulu, Watch ESPN, etc. (we basically just get the spinning wheel). However, from our iOS devices (two iPad Mini's and two iPhone's), we have no issues streaming video while in the bedroom via wifi. Even AirPlay has not been working on the ATV3.

I tend to think that it's the ATV rather than our internet. But my fiancée tends to think it's a combination of both the ATV and internet.

I have moved the ATV around to different positions on the dresser where our TV is, but I'm limited to where I can move it to. I've become so frustrated that I'm contemplating just purchasing a new ATV4 for the bedroom. But I first wanted to see if there is anything I can do to alleviate this issue, especially since I purchased the ATV less than a year ago. I have restored the ATV back to factory and reconnected to our network, but we still encounter the same streaming issues. One thing I haven't tried is resetting the router, so that is something I can certainly try.

Any other recommendations or insight would be appreciated.

Can you hook it up to the router with an ethernet cable? Even if this isn't a practical permanent solution, it would help isolate the problem (if it works on ethernet, that would suggest a wifi issue, etc).

Unfortunately, I do not have an Ethernet cable laying around our place. I did reset the router once I got home from work after my post. We haven't had any problems since with the ATV3. I appreciate the response though!

I have wi-fi N on my router and can get a constant, good quality connection from down the hall.... The Apple TV is in a bookcase, but i still get good/constant connection always when watching Hulu, Netfilx etc..

Yep. I too have discovered that sometimes the fix is to reboot the router. Don't understand why - but it fixes the problem.
