anyone else having this issue with the most recent movies in the computers section not appearing at all, not even gray boxes for them? And does anyone know of a fix for this to make them reappear?

Thanks!

Not sure exactly how your vids are formatted, but I've found they have to be 'just right' for thumbnails to work, happens that way also with Plex. Many files that play fine don't show thumbnails unless re-encoded to specific Apple requirements.

I am not sure you would need to re-encode the movie. I normally just use Subler to re-write the metadata parts of it. If that does not help, then save as new m4v file, to re-pack the container.
NB! For iTunes to show metadata correctly, the file must have m4v extension, mp4 is not enough. Same story with mov files (they also play ok on aTV, just no metadata display).

Could be, it's just a way I noticed thumbnails returned for video files -- your way sounds better :)

This is a different thing, I appreciate your help. I DID have a few covers here and there missing on the preview pane, once replaced they showed up.

This is literally NONE of the thumbnails even showing, just orange.
