Australian users are now reporting that the serial numbers are now available for their ATV4s.

Go to your Apple Account Support Page, and all your devices will be listed, including your new ATV4.

Enter your serial here to check your production dates:

http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html

Now the bizarre thing is that some users report their ATV4s were built only last week, while others are saying theirs were built as long ago as August even before the announcement about them.

When were yours built?

What "Apple Account Support Page" are you referring to?

Thanks for posting this. Mine was apparently built in week 33 (August). Weird to think they've been sat in a warehouse in China for the last 2/3 months!

What GB? I wonder if they produced one before he other.

Is it normal that when you order online via the Apple store a device is automatically added to the service list ? Though it was supposed to be done when you register a device. Funny enough, my iMac and iPad Air are missing. Serial no's don't work.

Yes it sure is. And adds a bit more weight to the previous story that these were ready to launch on 9 September as was expected... but were delayed due to software finalisation issues.

So the actual hardware was good to go and has been sitting in storage for 3 months waiting for the software team to get their act together.

Will be interesting to see if there is any pattern countrywise, to what age stock you get.... or, if it is just luck of the draw.
