So many little issues going on now and adding up… first the remote lag, then the file view options (info, audio, chapters, subs) layout UGH?!! Now losing subtitles roughly about an hour while watching movies?! Anyone else experiencing the subtitle fallout? What was once a seemless viewing experience has become a dissipointing chore…. Sux

don't know if it will help but maybe double click the home button and flip up any screens you have behind the first screen and restart. this is what I do when things seem a little off.

Thanks for the info, I will give it a try for sure. I never realized everything you opened stay opened in background.

Apple TV4K still losing subtitles on longer films after about an hour of viewing. They just stope appearing and nothing I do brings them back. Very weird , I know they are there because these are repeat Christmas movie viewings. I’m wondering now if this bug is because of an update in the last year?

By "subtitles" do you mean close captioning? If so I have not encountered that yet.

There are plenty of bugs in tvOS 15.x though. This is what happens when your developers work from home during a pandemic and basically don't actually work that much. I think it is likely impossible to work from home with SO and kids underfoot. They didn't have a choice of course, and if the SO and kids were not underfoot 24x7 they could likely do a good job working from home. However, the last two major OS releases of 14 and 15 (for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, etc.) have been riddled with bugs and a lot of very poorly thought out changes. I hope Apple gets their workers back in the office soon before they screw up too much.

Sorry I didn’t clarify, yes this would be the closed captioning subs that always worked for entire films but now stop and cannot resume after about an hour of viewing.
