AU/NZ: preparing for shipment thread

I got charged on Monday. Went "preparing for shipment" last night switched back to processing this morning, just gone back to preparing.
 
I guess as we are so close to China, that our stock comes later.

Still no payment taken! Don't get why Apple don't take it straight away.
 
I'd expect the phones to be in Australia right, and the payment will be taken just before they ship.
 
Most companies take your money when you order. What would happen if you no longer had the funds?
 
My experience with pre-orders is that payment is taken around shipping. In some cases it might be months for a pre-order.

We will get billed very shortly. Keep the card topped up ;)

Shipping notifications will likely start tomorrow with overnight from SYD to all other AUS Caps. The phones are already in Australia for sure.

Yep, someone on another forum just received theirs this afternoon.

Yeah, I'd expect AU/NZ orders have been consolidated to Sydney, and then will be shipped from there. If not, the 'Preparing for shipment' orders will not make it from China to AU/NZ by Friday...so they're already in Sydney already for sure. Ship Thursday, overnight to Auckland, delivery Friday.
 
One day to go :) we should be some of the first to receive our iPhones round the world....
 
Payments come out, so guessing we'll see shipment notices pretty soon.

My payment hasn't been taken yet, but if they're starting to I assume the rest will start seeing payments coming out. And they've used TNT for every pre-order so far.

Yay mine has shipped via DHL. Can't wait. Our work courier post driver has been giving us grief lately so hopefully it does turn up in the morning and he doesn't decide to drop it off in the afternoon just out of spite.
 
Also just received the Apple Store notifications on my devices.
 
I cancelled my delivery and changed it to an in store pickup instead.

I figured why wait around for the TNT delivery when I can get my hands on the new iPhone first thing in the morning.

I tried that , but my sms never arrived for the reservation
