iPhone Audio book woes

I bought a NKJV audio Bible in hopes it would replace my MP3 CD version but I am having issues with it keeping memory of where I last left off.

After every 8 hours or so I see a headphone icon next to the book in iBooks and when I click on the book it starts back from the beginning of the iBook and I lose my place where I last left off listening. Did I waste $40 in hopes this would replace my cds or should I go back to using cds? Anyone have a fix for this iBooks bug?

Is the file an mp3? If so, you should convert it to m4b format. I use the program audiobook binder on my iMac to do the conversion.

I don’t know. It’s a audiobook I bought in the iTunes Store.

Sorry. It should work fine if you bought it as an audiobook from the iTunes Store. Maybe if you deleted it and reinstalled it?

It plays fine and installed fine. It just does not keep the memory of where I last left off once the headphone icon appears.
