audio capture from video for ringtone creation

wondering if anyone has any ideas how I can capture an audio track from a video source (namely a youtube vid) in order to create a file that I can open with Garage Band to create a ringtone for my iPhone.

Check out Audio Hijack. It let's you record the audio produced by any application in OS X, which you can then bring into Garageband.
