Hello.

By accident from audio mixing desk to Macbook Pro A1502 been sent +48Volts to audio jack port. It damaged audio jack output on Macbook and now one side in headphones/speakers is just barely hearable and another stopped working completely.

I am thinking taking my MBP to repair shop to re-solder necessary microchips. What do you think real cost for such repair should be?

I've looked inside and saw that DAC in my mac is 'CIRRUS 4208-CRZ'. Would it be 99% chance that this Chip failed and need to be replaced? Is it worth buying that Chip from china and ask to replace it in repair shop (instead of waiting until they get same stuff from same China warehouse and charge me 10 times the price) ?

What is your opinion what would be the easiest option to get that MBP running in full order? (PS, I already have and using USB audio interface instead)
