Audio delay?

Just noticed on my new 2010 MBP that there is a slight delay when I plug in my headphones. If I'm playing music and decide to plug in my headphones, it takes a good second or two before the laptop recognizes it and starts playing through them instead of speakers. Is this normal? My old pre-unibody model was instantaneous.

Well, if it's anything, there's a 1/2 - 1 second delay on my '07 pre-unibody when plugging/unplugging headphones..

i have a 13" 2010 2.4 ghz, i dont have this issue.

I had a delay like this with my MacBook. Was about .5 of a second. Didn't bother me. I think its normal.

Yeah it's more like a half second delay. I guess it's nothing to worry about. Just that I never had this on my pre uniboy

I have the same issue..... no big deal to me just thought it was normal
