Hi all,

We love our AppleTV, which we use primarily for Netflix.

There's one little problem, which you can perhaps educate me about. About once per show the audio drops out. The solution is pretty simple, go back, and start the video again, resuming from where you left off.

Have you experienced audio dropouts while viewing Netflix via AppleTV? If yes, do you know if the problem is with Netflix or AppleTV?

If we had to live with this forever it's no big deal, but if there is a simple solution available it would be nice to know. Thanks much!

A couple of things. First, what kind of BB speed are you getting?

Second and probably more pertinent, how is your ATV connected? Via wifi or direct via an ethernet cable to the router / modem?

Connecting directly can often eliminate drop outs.

Just ran a test, 19651 kilobits per second.

WiFi.

Ah, I see, ok, that makes sense. Will try that, many thanks for the idea.
