My mom used her Sony DSC-T7 and created some clips. She asked me to burn them on a DVD, so I put the clips together in iMovie and expected to make a simple transition to iDVD. After the .MPEG files were uploaded to iMovie, the audio is now missing. I rechecked the original files to see if the audio was missing but that's not the case.

Anyone able to help me out here? I figured it would be an easy conversion for iMovie..

Diddily Daddily...
go grab ffmpegx and conver the file to a quicktime movie (or dv if you prefer) first. imovie (and quicktime which imovie relies on) can't demux an mpeg file with audio and video.
